This formula returns the day of the week for given date.

=WEEKDAY(date, return_type)
Example 1:
Step 1: First type any date for Ex. 25-12-1955 in cell B5.
Step 2: Type formula =WEEKDAY(B5,1) in cell B8 and press enter.
