Use of SQRT function/formula in Microsoft Excel:

This function in Microsoft Excel returns the positive square root of given number in data cell range.

Syntax/Formula:

Syntax of SQRT function in Microsoft Excel is below.

=SQRT(number)

Example:

Step 1: First type 25 in cell B4, 100 B5, and 49 in cell B6 as per shown in below image.

Step 2: Type formula =SQRT(B4) in cell C4 and press enter now you can see square root of cell B4 is 5.

Step 3: Copy formula from cell C4 and pest in cell C5 and C6.
