Use of COUNTA function/formula in Microsoft Excel:

This function in Microsoft Excel helps to counts the number of cells that are not empty means this function doesn't count empty cells.


Syntax/Formula :

The syntax of COUNTA in Microsoft Excel is below.

=COUNTA(Value1,[value2],…)


Examples:

Step 1: First type ADVANCED in cell B5, MS in cell B6, 123 in cell B7, EXCEL in cell B8, 20 in cell B10, and .BLOGSPOT.COM in cell B11 as per shown in below image.

Step 2: Type formula =COUNTA(B5:B11) in cell B13 and press enter.
